Tim Owen comments, "Edie and I just returned from a restful week in southern Colorado. We were staying at the retreat center provided by our long time friends Jim and Ginny Neece. Jim and Ginny provide vacation housing for pastors and missionaries and their families free of charge. They have locations in northwestern Illinois, Creede, and Durango, Colorado. The homes they provide are bordering on luxurious. There is no program provided, no counseling available or required, but just wonderful housing in beautiful settings. You provide your own meals, entertainment, etc. You just check in, enjoy the place, do a little exit cleaning, and check out. It is wonderful. Creede is beautiful. Durango is beautiful too, and is more tourist friendly, for better or for worse depending on your tastes. The Illinois houses are near Galena, which has historic significance and is also a tourist town.
