PASTORAL GROWTH GROUP
RETREAT GRANTS ANNOUNCEMENT

The Rocky Mountain District Executive Committee decided to award grants to qualifying Pastoral Growth Groups to enhance the building of supportive relationships through overnight retreats.

The amount granted each group will be based on the number of persons attending the retreat, $100 for a couple and $75.00 for a pastor without his spouse. DEXCOM understands this amount would not fully pay for such a retreat, but might be enough to supplement what participants would pay to make such a retreat happen.

DEXCOM believes that a well planned overnight retreat would be a big help to developing the strong relationships that encourage mutual support.

If a grant were awarded, the money could help as you see fit. Some pastors might pay the full expense for themselves while others with less means would be helped by the grant. The grant money might pay for all the meals It might pay for all of the housing expense. You might get a lodge some place and pay for everyone’s housing. It might pay for meals and a recreation experience such as whitewater river rafting

Here are the qualifications:

1. The retreat would be overnight

2. It would begin before dinner and end after lunch (We desire you spend significant time together)

3. It would include times of sharing and prayer

4. It would include a skill training piece consistent with the theme of the year provided by the District Superintendent

5. There would be at least 75% of the Pastoral Growth Group participating

6. A report of the event would be made to the Superintendent after it is concluded
