Announcement and Guidelines
RMD Official Worker Personal Spiritual Retreat Grant
The DEXCOM of the Rocky Mountain District decided to offer financial support to
Official Workers within the District to go on a spiritual retreat. It is
recognized that such retreats cost money for travel, meals and accommodations.
Local churches and Official Workers may or may not be able to afford to pay
those costs.
We
further realize that Official Workers would benefit from such spiritual retreats
either as a way to prepare for future challenges or to heal and renew during or
following a time of distress.
The Rocky Mountain District is committed to encouraging its Official Workers to
fulfill the Great Commandment.
We therefore announce the Personal Spiritual Retreat Grant. Financial support up
to $500 will be provided to qualified applicants.
Criteria: The successful applicant

Is an
Official Worker in the RMD
-
Will
complete the Spiritual Retreat Grant application
-
Will
have or recruit a prayer partner, mentor, spiritual director or coach to
share plans for this retreat with and debrief with afterwards.

Will
make sure there is no commercial or cable T.V. watching or other worldly
distractions
-
Will
form a spiritual renewal and development plan for the retreat complete with
goals and disciplines described
-
May
include your spouse and children if they are included in the spiritual
renewal plan including spiritual disciplines

May
include one, to six nights and two to seven days
-
May
include the disciplines of physical exercise and rest
-
Will
limit applications for this grant to no more than one per year

Will
complete the retreat report and send it to your mentor and the
Superintendent
Suggested
venues for spiritual retreats include Mt. Top Retreat Center near Bozeman,
similar retreats you may be aware of, the cabin of a member of your church,
camping out, hiking and camping, commercial venues such as a cabin in
Yellowstone Park, Glacier Park, bed and breakfast places that don’t have a TV,
etc. Focus on the Family lists spiritual retreat centers on their website.
It is DEXCOM’s hope that this offering will promote inner growth and depth in
Official Workers that will empower them to guard their hearts, deepen their love
for God, and renew them for life and ministry.
